Now, we’re seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our new Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in Joliet, IL.
The Opportunity
As an RN at our ASC, you’ll be at the heart of our patient care team, guiding patients through their surgical journey—from pre-op education and intra-procedure support to recovery and discharge. This is a high-impact role for a skilled communicator and problem solver, someone who thrives in fast-paced settings and works seamlessly alongside physicians and clinical staff to prioritize patient safety and satisfaction.
What You’ll Do:
Patient Care & Clinical Support
- Review patient medical records including allergies, history, prescriptions, and procedures
- Take and document vital signs (weight, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature)
- Educate patients on medications, procedures, risks/benefits, post-op instructions, and policies
- Prepare procedure rooms with appropriate supplies and medications
- Start IVs, assist with patient positioning, and escort to procedure rooms
- Assist physicians during procedures and address patient questions
Recovery & Follow-Up
- Escort patients to recovery, monitor vitals, and document recovery status
- Complete discharge charting and review instructions with patients
- Conduct next-day follow-up calls and document patient progress
Operations & Collaboration
- Maintain accurate and complete nursing documentation
- Break down and sterilize exam rooms between patients
- Order medical supplies and medications for procedures
- Collaborate with ancillary staff and uphold leadership in patient care delivery

Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Illinois RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Prior EHR experience preferred
- Assist in positioning patients on procedure tables and transporting by stretcher
- Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs frequently
- Use full range of motion in hands and arms
- Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods as needed
