The Opportunity
As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring a seamless patient experience from check-in through treatment. This position combines hands-on clinical support with administrative responsibilities, requiring strong attention to detail, adaptability, and a patient-first mindset. Your work helps maintain efficient workflows, supports providers during procedures, and ensures accurate patient records.
What You’ll Do
Patient Coordination & Administrative Support
- Answer and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, and check in patients
- Collect and update patient information, ensuring all required forms and consents are completed
- Maintain accurate patient records and support general clerical functions
- Obtain and document patient medical histories, vitals, and test results
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Assist with patient transfers before and after procedures
- Provide compassionate support and assistance to patients and families
- Prepare, order, and administer medications under physician supervision
- Prepare treatment and examination rooms for clinical use
- Equipment, Inventory & Environment
- Clean instruments and maintain exam rooms
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and ensure rooms are properly stocked
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other healthcare regulations
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times
- Complete required annual training by assigned deadlines
- Enjoy balancing both clinical and administrative responsibilities
- Are highly organized and detail-oriented in a fast-paced setting
- Communicate clearly and provide excellent patient service
- Can work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Take pride in maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Medical Assistant certification may be required
- At least one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of clerical procedures, recordkeeping, and filing systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology, spelling, and office ethics
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of patient information
