Now, we’re seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support our mission of delivering top-tier care through exceptional clinical and administrative support.
The Opportunity
As a Certified Medical Assistant at IPSI, you’ll be at the center of patient care—supporting physicians, guiding patients through their visit, and ensuring every detail is handled with precision and empathy. From managing clinical documentation to prepping for procedures, your work will directly enhance patient outcomes and reinforce our high standard of care.
What You’ll Do:
Patient Care & Clinical Support
- Obtain and record patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other documentation while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Assist with medical procedures and treatment room preparation.
- Prepare and administer medications under the direction of a physician.
- Support patients during pre- and post-procedure transfers and provide compassionate care throughout the visit.
- Greet and check in patients, schedule appointments, and manage phone calls.
- Collect and update necessary patient information, ensuring all forms and consents are accurately completed.
- Maintain and update patient records in accordance with medical charting standards.
- Prepare and clean examination rooms and instruments.
- Equip rooms with appropriate medical supplies and manage inventory levels.
- Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and all regulatory standards.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals.
- Complete all mandatory annual training by assigned deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Deliver consistent, compassionate care with professionalism and empathy.
- Handle fast-paced clinic days with flexibility, precision, and calm under pressure.
- Communicate clearly with patients and clinical teams.
- Are detail-oriented and proactive about staying compliant and organized.
- Value being part of a collaborative, patient-centered team.
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- At least 1 year of related healthcare experience or training (required)
- Medical Assistant Certification (preferred)
- Ability to assess, plan, and evaluate care based on patient needs
- Familiarity with medical terminology, records management, and insurance practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Internet)
- Ability to triage phone calls appropriately
- Ability to remain calm and responsive in emergency situations
- Collaborative team spirit and adaptability in a dynamic environment
- Competitive hourly pay: $22–$25/hour
