Monday-Friday | 6:15/7:00 AM-2:45/3:30 PM | $42/hour | Full-Time

You'll support patient outcomes through critical pathway implementation, coordinating multidisciplinary care to ensure a safe environment for patients undergoing surgical intervention. Responsibilities may span preparation, surgical, or recovery areas depending on assignment.
- Obtain and document comprehensive nursing histories from patients and families
- Perform patient assessments and record vital signs, escalating changes as needed
- Identify abnormal diagnostic data and communicate findings to the care team
- Develop and update care plans, including patients and families in goal-setting
- Provide safe, therapeutic care based on established care plans
- Accept accountability for assigned patients, including oversight of nonprofessional staff
- Evaluate and document patient response to nursing care in the medical record
- Prepare and maintain the operating room, ensuring equipment and supplies are ready
- Assist surgeons during procedures by providing instruments and supplies
- Monitor vital signs and patient condition before, during, and after surgery
- Implement infection control protocols to reduce postoperative infection risk
- Operate C-Arm fluoroscope under surgeon guidance, when assigned
- Associate's degree required; BSN preferred
- Current RN license in good standing required
- BLS certification required
- CPAN certification preferred
- 1+ year of OR and/or PACU nursing experience preferred
- Working knowledge of current nursing trends and the state Nurse Practice Act
- Skilled at measuring and interpreting vital signs and levels of consciousness
- Strong patient assessment and monitoring abilities
- Knowledge of surgical protocols and appropriate scrub processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication with patients, families, and staff
- Strong organization and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
- Collaborative team player who can lead when needed
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
