The Opportunity
You'll work alongside experienced physicians and clinical professionals to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with chronic pain conditions. What You'll Do
Patient Assessment & Treatment
- Perform patient examinations, obtain medical histories, document findings, and establish preliminary diagnoses or determine appropriate follow-up care.
- Order, administer, and interpret diagnostic testing, including X-rays, electrocardiograms, blood work, and other studies.
- Develop, implement, and manage individualized patient care plans.
- Prescribe medications within state regulations and clinic guidelines.
- Perform therapeutic procedures within scope of practice, including injections, immunizations, wound care, suturing, and infection management.
- Counsel patients regarding treatment plans, health maintenance, emotional well-being, family planning, nutrition, and other health-related topics.
- Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate outpatient medical records.
- Exercise professional judgment regarding consultation and collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Assist physicians with emergency treatment situations and more complex procedures when needed.
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records and documentation.
- Compile reports related to patient care and facility operations.
- Record statistics and participate in research activities as directed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Enjoy building meaningful relationships with patients and guiding them through their treatment journey.
- Are comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with physicians and clinical staff.
- Possess strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Physician Assistant:
- Completion of a four (4) year Physician Assistant baccalaureate program and one (1) year of clinical training; or
- Completion of a two (2) year accredited Physician Assistant program (requiring two years of undergraduate study) plus two (2) years of clinical training following program completion.
- Accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for Physician Assistants.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a subsequent Master's degree in Nursing.
- Current State License required.
- Current DEA license without restrictions required.
- BCLS certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- Continued employment requires 100 hours of continuing medical education every two (2) years and successful recertification examinations every ten (10) years for PAs or every five (5) years for NPs, unless otherwise required by governing boards.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated competency caring for patients across all age groups, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
