Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Registered Nurse at Kansas Surgery Center located in Overland Park, KS. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining medical records. Comply with JCAHO requirement. The daily tasks include administering nursing care to patients, supervising other nursing staff, performing physical exams, providing pre- and post-operative care, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Additionally, the Registered Nurse will collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, provide emotional support to patients and families, and comply with all healthcare regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- Registered Nursing (RN) license in the state of Kansas
- Experience in patient assessment, developing nursing care plans, and maintaining medical records
- Knowledge of administering nursing care and performing physical exams
- Ability to supervise other nursing staff and provide pre- and post-operative care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Prior experience in a surgical or acute care setting is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or an Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) with relevant experience
