The Charge Nurse will oversee daily clinical operations, coordinate nursing workflows, and serve as a resource to the clinical team throughout the pre-operative, procedural, and recovery process.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily staffing, assignments, and clinical workflow
- Provide guidance and serve as a clinical resource for nurses and support staff
- Supervise support personnel and reinforce established protocols
- Assess patients, monitor responses to treatment, and document clinical findings
- Recognize and communicate changes in patient condition to appropriate team members
- Deliver nursing care throughout pre-op, procedural, and recovery phases
- Work with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support positive outcomes
- Promote patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance initiatives
- Maintain professional, ethical, and evidence-based clinical standards
- Participate in team meetings and continuing education
- Complete other duties as assigned
Required:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) and/or pain management experience
- Experience using Athena EHR
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- CPAN certification
