About Central States Pain Clinic Central States Pain Clinic specializes in advanced interventional pain management, serving patients throughout West Des Moines and Ankeny. What You'll Do
As a Physician Assistant, you'll evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with chronic pain conditions while collaborating closely with physicians to deliver outstanding outpatient care.
Conduct patient evaluations and physical examinations
Obtain medical histories and formulate treatment plans
Order, interpret, and review diagnostic studies
Prescribe medications within state regulations
Perform procedures within scope of practice, including injections, wound care, suturing, immunizations, and infection management
Educate patients on treatment options and overall wellness
Monitor patient outcomes and modify treatment plans
Assist physicians with complex cases and emergency situations
Maintain accurate patient documentation
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and perform additional assigned duties
Qualifications Required
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program (ARC-PA)
Current Iowa Physician Assistant license
Current unrestricted DEA license
BCLS certification
Ability to maintain continuing education and certification requirements
Strong computer and documentation skills
Preferred
ACLS certification
Experience in pain management, orthopedics, spine, family medicine, or related specialty
