The Opportunity
As a Registered Nurse, you'll play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality patient care throughout the surgical and procedural experience. Working closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team, you'll assess patients, develop and implement care plans, monitor patient progress, and help ensure positive outcomes. Depending on assignment, responsibilities may include pre-procedure, surgical, and recovery care.

What You'll Do
Patient Assessment & Care Planning
  • Obtain and document comprehensive patient histories and assessments.
  • Monitor vital signs, identify changes in patient condition, and communicate findings appropriately.
  • Identify abnormal diagnostic findings and incorporate relevant information into patient care plans.
  • Develop, review, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Evaluate patient responses to treatment and document outcomes accurately.
Patient Care & Clinical Coordination
  • Deliver safe, therapeutic nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and team members to support care plan goals.
  • Accept accountability for assigned patient care, including supervision of nonprofessional personnel as appropriate.
  • Support nursing care standards and contribute to a safe patient environment.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development through education and training opportunities.
Surgical & Procedural Support (When Assigned)
  • Prepare and maintain procedure and operating rooms, ensuring equipment and supplies are available.
  • Assist physicians during procedures by providing instruments and supplies as needed.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
  • Conduct patient assessments to identify potential procedural risks or complications.
  • Implement infection control protocols and maintain patient safety standards.
  • Document nursing interventions, patient responses, and outcomes in the electronic health record.
  • Operate a C-Arm fluoroscope under the guidance of and in conjunction with the surgeon, if assigned.

Qualifications
  • Education & Licensure
  • Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) preferred.
Experience & Skills
  • Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience in the OR and/or PACU preferred.
  • Knowledge of current nursing practices and applicable Nurse Practice Act requirements.
  • Experience assessing patients, monitoring vital signs, and interpreting clinical findings.
  • Knowledge of appropriate scrub processes.
  • Understanding of surgical and procedural care protocols may be required.
  • Ability to operate a C-Arm fluoroscope under physician guidance may be required if assigned to a surgical setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
