Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30am–2:30pm

The Opportunity
As a Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse, you will guide patients through the surgical experience — from admission to discharge — ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate care.
You’ll collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to maintain a safe surgical environment while driving positive patient outcomes through evidence-based nursing practice. This is a hands-on clinical role with meaningful patient impact in a focused, weekday schedule.

What You’ll Do
Clinical Leadership & Accountability
  • Coordinate and control multidisciplinary activities to provide a safe surgical environment
  • Accept accountability for clinical care of assigned patients, including supervision of nonprofessional personnel
  • Support nursing care standards through adherence to established policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Utilize the nursing process in all aspects of patient care delivery
Patient Assessment & Care Planning
  • Obtain and document comprehensive nursing histories
  • Perform patient assessments demonstrating knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology
  • Record vital signs, identify changes, and pursue further investigation as needed
  • Identify abnormal diagnostic data and communicate findings appropriately
  • Develop and review individualized care plans prior to end of shift
  • Include patients and families in planning care, setting goals, and establishing priorities
  • Evaluate and document patient responses to care
Communication & Coordination
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and care team members
  • Use care plans to guide safe, therapeutic interventions
  • Ensure continuity of care through accurate documentation and handoff communication
Professional Development
  • Maintain professional growth through continuing education and unit conferences
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing required
  • BLS certification required
  • At least one year of experience in the OR and/or post-anesthesia care unit required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Extensive experience measuring and interpreting vital signs and levels of consciousness
  • Advanced knowledge of patient care best practices
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Certified Post-Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) preferred
