Medical Receptionist
Full-Time | $21.00/hr | Monday-Friday | 8:00am-4:30pm
Location: Mondays will be spent at our Dyer, IN 46311 location. The rest of the week will be at our Crown Point, IN 46307 location.

The Opportunity
The Medical Receptionist role is central to the patient experience and clinic workflow. You’ll balance front-desk responsibilities, medical record management, and administrative support in a fast-paced healthcare environment—helping the clinic run smoothly while delivering compassionate service.
What You’ll Do
Front Desk & Patient Support
- Check patients in and out; serve as a professional, welcoming first point of contact
- Answer and route phone calls; schedule appointments
- Ensure all patient forms, consents, and documentation are completed
- Provide compassionate assistance to patients and families
Medical Records & Administrative Duties
- Register patients and collect co-pays and deposits
- Prepare new patient paperwork, insurance cards, and privacy notices
- Create, pull, file, and maintain organized electronic and physical charts
- Work daily in EMR systems to support clinical and administrative workflows
Clinical Support & Compliance
- Obtain and record patient histories, vitals, test results, and related data
- Prepare examination rooms and maintain a clean facility environment
- Monitor supplies and support patient transport as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinical guidelines
- Complete required annual training and perform other assigned duties

Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 1 year of administrative experience required
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on EMR experience required
- Previous medical receptionist experience a plus
- Experience working in a healthcare facility preferred
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
- Excellent customer service, organization, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or related software
- Knowledge of medical terminology, office ethics, and confidentiality standards
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods; speak and hear with or without reasonable accommodation; frequently use hands and arms for handling and reaching; lift up to 10 lbs frequently and 25 lbs occasionally; and maintain close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
