About Advanced Pain and Anesthesia Consultants (APAC)

What You'll Do
As a Medical Assistant / Front Desk Receptionist, you'll play an important role in delivering an exceptional patient experience by supporting both front office operations and clinical care.
- Welcome patients by checking them in and out, registering new patients, and collecting co-pays and deposits.
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and gather required patient information.
- Prepare patient paperwork, insurance documentation, and required consent forms.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records using EMR systems while protecting patient confidentiality.
- Obtain and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and clinical information.
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms, clean instruments, stock supplies, and monitor inventory.
- Assist physicians with procedures, patient care, medication administration (under physician supervision), and patient transfers.
- Provide compassionate support to patients and their families throughout their visit.
- Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and facility policies while completing required compliance training.
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least one year of administrative experience.
- At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Minimum one year of hands-on experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Medical Assistant Certification.
- Provides outstanding customer service with professionalism and compassion.
- Communicates clearly with patients, providers, and team members.
- Maintains accurate documentation and strong attention to detail.
- Effectively balances clinical and administrative responsibilities.
- Works independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
- Demonstrates professionalism, organization, and a commitment to patient confidentiality.
- Is comfortable using Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
- Has knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures.
