What You'll Do
As a Registered Nurse, you'll play an essential role in guiding patients safely through their surgical experience—from pre-operative preparation through recovery and discharge.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document clinical findings
- Obtain and monitor vital signs before, during, and after procedures
- Identify and communicate changes in patient condition
- Develop and update individualized nursing care plans
- Provide pre-operative, intra-procedural, and post-anesthesia patient care
- Monitor recovery and evaluate patient responses to treatment
- Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions
- Supervise support staff while promoting safe clinical practices
- Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum one (1) year of Operating Room (OR) and/or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- CPAN certification preferred
